Hello everybody, my name is Marina and I am Italian from Padova, a small lovely town close to Venice. I lived in New Zealand since for 6 years but I am now back to Italy .
I teach online (on Zoom) at the moment, so you can learn anywhere and at anytime.
During our lessons we work in all the aspects of the language: Speaking with fluency, intonation and pronunciation, Reading, Writing, Listening, Vocabulary, Grammar and ...why not? ...the body language as well! I prepare my lessons using real Italian materials such as movies, book parts, songs, newspapers, and magazine articles and anything that may interest the student: music, literature, art, food, Italian regions and whatever you like.
If your goal is to go to study in Italy or get Italian citizenship, I can help you to prepare CILS, CELI or PLIDA exams. I have done this before with great results.

Qualifications
Teaching Italian is not only my job is my biggest passion. For this reason, I have obtained the best qualifications that attest you an advanced competence in didactics of Italian as a foreign language. In fact, after my degree in Italian Literature, I obtained a Master's Degree in Teaching Italian to foreigners and a few years later a Master in Teaching Italian in e-learning. I am also an authorised teacher for CILS exams from the University for Foreigners of Siena.

I am a certified Italian teacher since 2008 and my professional experience comprehends both children and adults of any levels and backgrounds.
My teaching method is based on a communicative and functional approach that allows the students to use the language since the beginner levels, to study with motivation and to improve gradually but constantly. Do not be afraid of making mistakes, I perfectly know how hard and challenging it can be learning a new language and I will be very supportive along the path.

I have had 7 lessons with Marina so far and they have all been fun, interesting and inspiring. In fact, I think I have learned more in those 7 lessons than in years of class lessons. Marina is everything you want in a language teacher: well-qualified, intelligent, prepared, patient and inspiring. I cannot recommend Marina highly enough.
