I am Irene, originally from Marsala, a beautiful coastal town in Sicily.
I started teaching Italian after graduating in Linguistics and Cultural Mediation from the University of Milan.
Since 2013 I have been teaching to children and adults in Australia and New Zealand.
I am passionate about sharing my language, culture and also my love for Italian food!
I have always loved languages and, thanks to my teaching career, I have met people from all over the world and learned about different languages and cultures, this is the best part of my job!
My teaching methodology is based on:
Full immersion - I am experienced in 'full immersion' teaching, this is the best way for you to absorb the spoken language faster and to grow your confidence in speaking, even at a beginner level.
Real conversations - The quickest and most enjoyable way to learn Italian is by using it in real conversations, this means studying useful words and sentence structures that help you speak in real situations.
Practice - Speaking a language is a practical skill, like riding a bike, the more you practice the easier it gets.
Fun - I also help people see the fun in language learning because if you enjoy it, you will learn it faster.
Italian online lessons for:
- All ages (children and adults), because it's never too late to learn a new language!
- All levels, from complete beginner to proficient
- Grammar, conversation, specialist language
- Italian for travel, to live and work abroad, for business
Lessons are adapted to suit the student's learning style and interests.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and Cultural Mediation from the University of Milan, Italy, major in English and Japanese (translation and interpreting).
