Hi, I am originally from Japan, I speak fluent Japanese. I have been in New Zealand for nearly 10 years, I completed my Masters in Engineering at the University of Canterbury. I have enjoyed teaching Japanese for the last 4 years. I am very passionate about languages and learning about different cultures. I am keen to encourage and support your adventure into learning a second language.

I have had a few students for the last 4 years, and all of them can read and write "Hiragana" and "Katakana" very quickly. I also mentored young professional engineers in my previous job.
I am a good listener and I can create clear study plans and pathways for students to help them meet their goals.
In the first lesson we will discuss what your goal is and make a plan of milestones to achieve that target in your desired timeframe, e.g: focusing on communication conversation skills or improving your reading/writing ability. As I am a native Japanese speaker, I can you teach a lot about Japanese culture and history from beginners to advanced students.
