Children and teenagers learn best when the learning is relevant to them, and when they feel that what they are learning matters. It is important for the child to be met where they are at, with kindness and patience to move forward in a way that is most beneficial to them.
My own brother, many years ago, slipped through the cracks at school... when mum got him a tutor his grades increased rapidly. He is now doing a degree in engineering. It is my mission to help others the way that tutor helped my brother.

Experiences
Originally a school camp instructor from Australia, I began my Bachelor of Education (secondary) online via distance when I moved to New Zealand in 2017/18.
Concluding 2022 I have now finished my degree. While studying, however, I have worked as an outdoor education assistant and teacher aide for two local high schools, and as a swim instructor with children from 6 month olds through to Year 7 students. These experiences have given me the knowledge to adapt teaching strategies to children and teenagers of all ages.
I am a Geography major, however I am extremely confident with mathematics, English, and PDHPE, and have taught some science on placements as well. Send me a question about where the student is at and I will let you know if I can help.
